Parks & Recreation
The City of Valley and surrounding area offer a variety of recreational activities for your recreational enjoyment.  These facilities include three city parks, the Twin Rivers YMCA, the Joe Roberts Arboretum, the Pines Country Club, Two Rivers State Park and the Elkhorn and Platte rivers.

Valley City Park

The Valley City park located at 400 West Vass street has many grassy areas with established shade trees nearby.  This park also contains the City swimming pool, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, basketball courts, two pavillions, a beautiful baseball complex, a batting cage, a t-ball field and a softball field.  This park is a great place to hold family reunions, picnics, or community gatherings.   There's plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors.

Rogert Park

Rogert park is another of the City's parks.   Rogert park offers a paved walking path, many established trees, a small pavillion with a grill for picnics and a gazebo.  Rogert park is located at 604 South Lakewood St on the southwest side of Valley directly behind the Golden Living - Valhaven facility.   Rogert is considered to be the more tranquil of the City parks.

Valley Mini Park

The Valley mini park is located at 103 North Spruce Street.   The minipark is on the south end of the business district and is frequently utilized as a place to eat your lunch outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.   The mini-park has a picnic table that seats four people and also a two park benches to relax on.

Twin Rivers YMCA

The Twin Rivers YMCA is located at 6100 Twin Rivers Circle in the northeast corner of the city.  There is something for everyone at the YMCA.  From it's indoor aquatic center to it's fully equipped workout room and gymnasium and outdoor basketball courts, the YMCA offers a multitude of programs and exercise classes for all ages.  The YMCA also offers "Y-Care" where you can drop off your little ones while you get your workout in.  The YMCA has also a Community Center which is available for rent for meetings, training, banquets, or even wedding receptions.   Call the YMCA at (402) 359-9622 to get more details on what the Twin Rivers YMCA has to offer you and your family.   Also, click here to go to the YMCA home page on this website.  The Twin Rivers YMCA page on this website is under the Residents tab, and the Wellness category.

Joe Roberts Arboretum
The Joe Roberts Arboretum is located on the southeast of the city at 235 E Condron St.  The arboretum features a walking track, several young trees and plenty of "green" space.   The Joe Roberts Arboretum is home to the Valley Memorial Trees program which was developed to foster and perpetuate the planting of trees by any citizen of Valley in memory of a friend or loved one. The Pines Country Club

The Pines Country Club is located at 7516 N 286th street in the northwest corner of the city.  The Pines is a 18-hole, semi-private golf course with beautilfully manicured fairways and undulating greens.  The facility features a driving range, practice green and snack bar for all of your refreshment needs.  The Pines also has a Party room with catering for all of your special events.   Click on this link to go to their website and see all they have to offer you and your family. 

Two Rivers State Recreation Area
Two Rivers State Recreation area is located 6 miles south of Valley on 264th street and then one mile west on F street. The area features ten Union Pacific cabooses as unique lodging venues. The park office is open March through October from 7 am until sunset and as needed in the off season. The park is open year-round for some activities. Here's a brief list of what Two Rivers State recreation area has to offer: camping, concessions, put and take trout fishing, swimming beach, bike rentals, horse camping area, fishing pier and hiking trails. River Recreation
Valley is located directly between two rivers.  The Elkhorn river is approximately 4 miles to the east of Valley and the Platte river is 3 miles to the west of the City.  These rivers provide opportunities for fishing, airboating, canoeing and just a place to cool off in the summer time.

The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District provides areas to enjoy both rivers.   Elkhorn Crossing is an area on the Elkhorn river approximately 5 miles north of Valley, just east of 252nd street.  The other area is the Platte River Landing located just westt of Valley on highway 64 at the Platte river.
