Valley is located directly between two rivers. The Elkhorn river is approximately 4 miles to the east of Valley and the Platte river is 3 miles to the west of the City. These rivers provide opportunities for fishing, airboating, canoeing and just a place to cool off in the summer time.
The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District provides areas to enjoy both rivers. Elkhorn Crossing is an area on the Elkhorn river approximately 5 miles north of Valley, just east of 252nd street. The other area is the Platte River Landing located just east of Valley on highway 64 at the Platte river.
