Staffing Shortages – Prioritization of Essential Services
City Services Update - Prioritization of Essential Services
The City of Valley is currently short-staffed. To make sure essential services continue without interruption, staff will focus first on work that is required by state and federal regulations, as well as other critical functions.
This means some routine requests and non-urgent tasks may take longer than usual.
To ensure you are communicating with us in the most efficient way for staff to accommodate your request, please use the following contact methods:
- Water or Sewer emergency during business hours: 402-359-2251 Ext. 301
- Water or Sewer emergency after business hours: 1-888-861-1921
- Water or Sewer non-emergency or billing questions: 402-359-2251 Ext. 301 or email to cityoffice@valleyne.org
- General concerns or complaints: Online submission – www.valleyne.org / Quicklinks / Citizen Concern / Complaint Form (https://ci-valley-ne.smartgovcommunity.com/CodeEnforcement/ComplaintEntry)
- Permits, licensing, or inspections: email to buildinginspector@valleyne.org

We appreciate your patience and kindness to staff as we work to keep essential services running smoothly for the community.
