Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee reviews matters related to city parks and recreational facilities as referred by the Mayor, City Council, City Administrator, or Public Works Superintendent. The Committee conducts studies as needed and provides recommendations to the referring authority. Topics may include parkland acquisition and development, usage regulations, and maintenance or operational issues. By June 1 each year, the Committee submits a status report on city parks and recreational areas to the Mayor and City Council. While the Committee cannot incur financial obligations or spend funds, the City Council may allocate resources as deemed appropriate.
